                spent with Salinger
feels like time spent with my Dad
                           not sure what to notice
                           not sure what to ask

                I browse Dylan’s time
                and space in the 60s 70s – the baby-faced
Shadow that seems to be the zeitgeist
of the time but, no, is actually a step ahead
                           and uncomfortable –

                whereas I like spending time
with pedantic Allen – no edge
                wide open
