lifetime
I look and I gaze and wonder
but I don’t notice
lives shift and change but
I am quiet and not noticed
I see dawns over rooftops
I see angles from the pavement
but no one else notices;
and then I speak
and everyone continues
to listen to themselves

change wormhole: new year’s eve 2014; train up to London to / walk the bridges across the Thames, and / listen to the voices say it is, and was, like, / but get back home before the fireworks / obliterate it all in the emptying twilight
dawn wormhole: dawn
identity & speech wormhole: 1963
life & rooftops wormhole: up here
looking wormhole: [start where you are III] – delve
others wormhole: time proceeds
I can hear you, dear! Like your poem so much! It’s a bit like Leibnitz’ Monadentheroy ( I wonder if it’s right….)

I must admit, I had to look it up – now I know what it’s like to listen to me talking making no sense!

I can not agree. If writing is talking and reading is listening it’s pretty good to listen to you- what you say is beautiful and full of empathy.
Wisper, write, cry, talk, sing, listen, read never stop giving different forms to your feelings an thoughts. ( I wished ny english was better…)
I like to listen.
Carry on!

Your English is beautiful for the sweet things you say to the boy who can speak nein German at all; thank you

Great german stuff this: Nein … “Nein” is a pretty useful Word if you are asked for things like: It’s your turn to iron the clothes or: Can I have your car next month .. ? But I’ll teach you an even more beautiful one
– for delightful moments without harm: “Ja!”
( “Yes” – to be translated right;) )
Ja! 🙂

Ha; Ja! – I think the translation is better as ‘yeah’, with almost two syllables, and always said with a slight-nodding head as if keeping the mouthful of wine IN the mouth a little longer before swallowing …
